JAMMU/RAJOURI: DAINIK NEWS UDAAN Police Station Sunderbani has taken strict action against Bittu Kumar S/o Puran Singh R/o Ghai Panasa Tehsil Beri Pattan District Rajouri for his alleged involvement in the illegal transportation and sale of desi liquor. During verification the accused was found violating the provisions of the Excise Act following which Case FIR No. 61/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sunderbani. Further investigation into the matter is underway. Rajouri Police has reiterated its commitment to curbing the illegal trade and transportation of liquor and ensuring strict enforcement of the law. JAMMU RAJOURI:DAINIK NEWS UDAAN Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Sh Naresh Singh JKPS today chaired an interaction with the Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) of the 2019 and 2024 batches presently posted in District Rajouri. Additional Superintendents of Police and other senior police officers attended the interaction. During the meeting SSP Rajouri emphasized the importance of integrity, discipline, dedication and professionalism in policing. He stressed that police personnel must maintain the highest standards of honesty, professional conduct and accountability while discharging their official duties. SSP Rajouri called upon the PSIs to uphold the dignity of the police uniform and remain committed to serving the public with sincerity sensitivity and a strong sense of responsibility. He further emphasized the need for accessible, fair, transparent and accountable policing to strengthen public confidence in the police force. The SSP cautioned that any instance of misconduct, negligence or compromise with professional and ethical standards would invite strict departmental action. GDC Doongi Organises Seminar on Financial Literacy and Awareness. JAMMU/RAJOURI:DAINIK NEWS UDAAN Government Degree College Doongi organised a seminar on Financial Literacy and Awareness under the able guidance of the worthy Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Chanchal Angral. The programme was organised with the objective of creating greater awareness among students about financial planning, savings, investment, and responsible financial decision-making. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Chanchal Angral, Principal, GDC Doongi. In her address, she highlighted the growing importance of financial literacy in the lives of young people and emphasised the need for students to develop sound financial habits and make informed decisions regarding their finances. The resource person for the programme, Prof. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Retired Professor, Higher Education Department, Jammu & Kashmir, and SEBI SMART Securities Market Trainer, delivered an informative and thought-provoking lecture on various aspects of financial literacy. Drawing upon practical examples and real-life situations, he sensitised students to the importance of understanding financial products, assessing risks, and making informed investment choices. He particularly guided the students on how and where to invest wisely, while cautioning them against uninformed financial decisions.
