Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan on Monday conducted a surprise inspection of Govt. Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital to review healthcare services and departmental functioning.
He inspected various sections, including OPDs, Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, ATF, AYUSH, Dental, Immunization, Dispensary and other facilities.
He also interacted with patients and attendants to seek feedback on treatment, cleanliness and staff behaviour.
Dr. Khan directed doctors and paramedical staff to ensure punctuality, proper sanitation, availability of essential medicines and equipment, and respectful treatment of every patient.
He stressed the importance of patient-friendly services and warned against negligence.
He said the hospital plays a vital role in providing healthcare to people across Poonch, particularly those living in remote and border areas.
The inspection aimed to strengthen accountability, improve service delivery and ensure quality healthcare for all.
