Most Schools in Poonch to Reopen from Thursday After Weather Improves, Staff-Only Attendance in Some Institutions

With the weather conditions improving in Poonch district, most government and private Higher Secondary Schools will resume regular academic activities from July 30, according to an order issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Poonch.
The order states that teachers, non-teaching staff and students will attend classes as per the normal schedule in all Higher Secondary Schools, except a few institutions where only staff members will report for duty.
The schools where only teaching and non-teaching staff will remain present, while students will not attend, include HSS Chandimarh, HSS Hari, HSS Lathung, HSS Gunthal, HSS Bafliaz, HSS Loran and HSS Sawjian.
Meanwhile, as per an earlier order, all government and recognised private educational institutions within the municipal limits of Poonch, Surankote and Mendhar will also function normally from July 30.
The Chief Education Officer has directed all heads of institutions to ensure strict compliance with the orders. Any violation or negligence will invite action under the relevant rules.
